About this piece
We cut this hooded beach tunic from breathable, quick-dry fabric woven to UPF 50. It pulls on easily over a wet swimsuit with a half-zip neckline, long sleeves, and two front pockets for keys and sunglasses. The watercolor damask print adds soft blue pattern from the boat deck to the boardwalk.
How it is made
UPF 50 Fabric
We chose a quick-drying, breathable knit woven to UPF 50. The fabric sheds water quickly after a swim and stays light when the breeze picks up along the shoreline or out on a boat.
Half Zip Hood
The neckline features a half zip so you can adjust the collar as needed. We attach a full hood for extra coverage around the neck and head when you step off the sand.
Front Pockets
We stitched two roomy patch pockets onto the front of the tunic. They sit flat against the hips and give you an easy place to slide a phone, room key, or lip balm.
Plus Size Fit
We cut this pattern specifically for plus sizes from 1X to 4X, matching bust measurements from 44 to 58 inches. The tunic pulls on over the head with an easy, relaxed drape through the body.
