HDEGreat clothes shouldn’t cost a fortune

We make clothes, we do not run the shop

HDE is a clothing label. We cut 156 pieces across 9 sections: pull-on trousers and capris, jersey dresses and tops, shorts and skorts, swim cover-ups, costume pieces, bags and hats, a youth line, sleepwear, and coats for dogs.

This site is our catalogue and our notes. It is not a shop. When you decide on a piece, the button takes you to the retail partner that stocks it, and everything from that point on happens on their side.

Why the whole site is built around size

A size label is the least reliable thing printed on a garment. Our own catalogue is proof of it: 27 different labels across 156 pieces, belonging to 6 naming systems that do not convert into one another. Somebody who knows their letter still knows nothing about their number.

We did not invent a tidy chart to hide that. Instead we read what people wrote about each listing and printed the verdict next to the garment. 92 pieces carry one. The rest carry nothing, because we have nothing to add.

What we will not tell you

We do not claim a garment is good for your health, your posture or your skin. Where a cover-up was woven to a UPF figure we print the figure and nothing more.

We do not print a price we have not read off the listing, and we do not promise it will still be that price when you get there. Prices and stock are the partner’s to set and change.
