About this piece

Recitals, spirit days, and gymnastics practices call for clothes that can handle high kicks and fast changes. We cut this circle skater skort from high-shine holographic cloth with pleated fullness and hidden inner shorts underneath. The pull-on waistband stays in place through every jump, flip, and routine.

How it is made

Holographic Metallic Fabric

We choose a shiny silver material with a bright holographic finish that catches the light across the dance floor. The circular pleated cut gives it plenty of flare and movement when spinning.

Built-In Undershorts

Under the outer skirt, we sew in a pair of fitted elastic shorts. They stay hidden from view while providing full coverage through tumbling runs, cheer jumps, and cartwheels across the grass.

Elastic Banded Waist

The stretchy waistband pulls right on over tights or leotards without zippers, clasps, or buttons to slow things down. It sits comfortably at the natural waistline and holds firm during movement.

A-Line Scooter Cut

We pattern this skort with a wide A-line flare that allows an open range of motion for warmups and routines. The size 12 fits heights from 58 to 60 inches and a 25 inch waist.
