We cut this hooded coverup dress from lightweight, quick-dry fabric woven to UPF 50. The half-zip mock neckline pulls up easily over a wet swimsuit, while an elastic waist gives the tunic shape without buttons. Deep front pockets keep small essentials close at hand between the pool and the boardwalk.
How it is made
UPF 50 Fabric
We chose a breezy, lightweight knit woven to UPF 50 that dries quickly after a dip. The material stays soft against damp swimsuits and packs down flat into a beach tote.
Half Zip and Hood
The front neckline features a half zip that runs up to a standing mock collar. We add a generous attached hood that provides extra overhead coverage on open decks or sunny trails.
Real Front Pockets
Two deep front pockets sit at the hips so you have a place for keys, sunglasses, or a phone. We stitch them flat to keep the tunic profile smooth.
Straight Size Run
