About this piece
A classic swim dress makes hot afternoons by the water simple. We cut this piece from a quick-drying nylon and spandex blend with an empire waist and side shirring. Soft molded cups and built-in briefs keep the fit smooth and supportive through every lap.
How it is made
Twist Front Bust
We set a knot detail across the chest and build in wire-free molded bra cups. The shape stays supportive and comfortable in the water without any metal hardware poking through.
Side Shirred Waist
We gather the fabric along both side seams to create gentle shirring above an empire waist. The A-line skirt flares out slightly from that seam to sit smoothly over the hips.
Built In Bottoms
Underneath the skirt, we add full-coverage brief bottoms sewn directly into the suit. They stay in place while you wade into the pool or walk across the sand.
Quick Drying Fabric
We use a soft, stretchy knit of nylon and spandex that moves easily and dries quickly after a swim. It holds its deep black shade swim after swim.
