About this piece
A sheer mesh skirt works straight over bikini bottoms for pool parties and festival sets. We build this mini with a stretchy elastic band at the high waist and add a functional drawstring down the side. You can cinch the ruching tight or let it hang longer.
How it is made
Sheer Stretch Mesh
We use a lightweight, breathable white mesh fabric with built-in stretch. It slips easily over swimwear or bodysuits and packs down to nothing in a beach tote.
Side Drawstring Detail
A working drawstring runs through the side channel. You can pull the ties to bunch the fabric into deep gathers or loosen them to adjust the hem length.
Elastic High Waist
We finish the top with a simple pull-on elastic band that sits at the natural waist. There are no zippers, buttons, or metal hardware to snag on wet swimwear.
Straight Size Run
We cut this pattern in sizes Small through XX-Large. The stretch fabric accommodates natural waists from 26 inches in size Small up to 36 inches in XX-Large.
